My Dream App site suffers from heavy traffic

What do you get when your site is featured on Digg, Slashdot and Infinite Loop?

Then you know that lots and lots of heavy traffic is heading your way…

This is what has happened the MDA site. Every now and then I get the message

Error: Unable to connect to MySQL and select database. MySQL reported: Lost connection to MySQL server during query.

I really hope that the problem is solved soon. Was there anyone that had a clue that MDA would attract such a huge amount of publicity? Last time I checked three apps (place number 2 – 4) was within a 0.3% span… This is so exciting! =)
